MONSON CEMETERY COMMISSION
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2006
The regular meeting of the Monson Cemetery Commissioners convened at 10:00 a.m. in the office at 32 Wilbraham Road. In attendance were Albert Wilcox, Robert Pease, Paul Lovell, William Plante and Gaylin Bingle. David Martin was not present.
Mr. Pease made a motion to accept the meeting minutes of September 1, 2006. Mr. Wilcox seconded the motion.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Tree in Hillside – DG Tree has agreed to take the large tree in Hillside down for $900.00 instead of the originally quoted price of $1,200.00. The agreement is for DG Tree to leave the wood instead of taking it, Paul will limb 30 feet up the tree and clean up to reduce the price $300.00. Bill and Donald will take the wood.
2. Bethany Road – Paul said he spoke with the abutter who has agreed not to mow the Town’s cemetery portion of Bethany Road Cemetery any more. When Paul gets a chance he said he would try to find the exact location of the boundary pins.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Catcher System for Lawnmower – Paul said he would like to explore the cost of a catcher system for the older riding lawnmower so that both riders will have catcher systems on them for picking up grass and leaves. The Commissioners agreed to have Paul check with Acres Lawnmower in East Longmeadow.
Mr. Pease made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:45 a.m. Mr. Wilcox seconded the motion.
